About Ishah Purpose
A ministry for women on the front lines.
Ishah Purpose International is the English branch of Aides Semblables International, a Christian ministry dedicated to equipping and motivating women to fulfill their roles in the family, the Church and society.

Our history
Founded in 1995 by Pastor Astrid Soni.
Pastor Astrid founded Aides Semblables International under Soni Restoration Ministry International in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The ministry serves women it calls “Women on the Front Lines”: visionaries, leaders, homemakers and young women full of initiative, each with a vision or a mission to serve others, and each playing her own part in society.
Ishah Purpose carries the same calling to English-speaking women. Pastor Astrid leads the ministry and hosts the Ishah Purpose Conference.
Our name
Ishah means “woman.”
It is the Hebrew word in Genesis 2:23. The French name, Aides Semblables, comes from Genesis 2:18 in the Louis Segond Bible, where God says He will make “une aide semblable à lui.”
Our beliefs
Created with purpose, for a purpose.
Our beliefs are based on the Holy Scriptures, which show clearly that God created us with unlimited potential to accomplish a specific mission.

What we believe
- God does not waste His resources. He created woman for a purpose, for a mission that she alone is to fulfill in this world.
- Woman is fully equipped with talents, gifts and potential, which must be sharpened and channeled.
- Our calling with women, girls and children is to shape them for the mission that is theirs in the family, in the Church and in society.
Our focus
- Restore and elevate the image of woman as God’s masterpiece.
- Encourage purity, self-worth, initiative and leadership among young women, and young men in our youth forums.
- Motivate women on the front lines to sharpen their potential.
- Challenge women and girls to rise to their God-given role in the destiny of families, churches, businesses and nations.
- Encourage women to take part at every level of society’s development.
Our goal
Growth, mutual support and excellence.
Motivating and encouraging each woman to grow, to support one another and to pursue excellence. These are the essential elements of our fellowship.
Our motto: “Rise to the task.”
“As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”
